Stevo
I'm looking into finiding a new board. I want something with good flex, light, good to butter around and shit, but something i can still rip down the mountain with and hit jump lines and shit too. Anyone have any suggestions? Tyler
well if you are looking for something a little cheaper more jib specific i would say the Rome artifact, ride kink, burton dominant/blunt, k2 world wide weapon, or the capita stairmaster. If you want something with a little better base and more all park oriented that can still handle the mountain look into the ride dh, rome agent, atomic alibi, k2 darkstar/jibpan, burton twin. Those are some of the obvious choices. Also option, forum, neversummer, + others all make some decent boards for what you are looking for. i personally like the Agent, DH, and even the burton twin for what you are looking for. Dan-
I was talking to a guy that works in a shop, he said the weapon was garbage. But what do i know, i don't ride those boards. Maybe an Un Inc, or an Agent. Artifacts are Noodles, and won't work for anything but park.
rgrwilco
i actually rode my artifact at killington, and honestly besides the occasional heelside chatter, it rode pretty damn well, alot better then expected. also a never summer evo is really good for riding all mountain and park, its just a bit stiff on the rails, not too bad though. snorovr
I just picked up a Salomon Scout. I haven't ridden a whole lot in the past couple seasons, so I haven't jibbed, but I've heard pretty good things about the ride of this board so I decided to grab one. The price wasn't bad either. Most of the guys I've talked to who have ridden one say that for how soft it is it rides surprisingly well all mountain. I talked to one kid who said that he thinks its a little too soft for his taste, but thats a personal pref. thing in my mind. I'll let you know how it is after this weekend. I also ride an Evo 155 and love it for all mountain/park riding but it is a stiffer park board. I would say a Rome Agent, k2 jibpan, Atomic Hatchet, Ride Kink or Ride DH (stiffer than the kink). nick
If you want a true twin jib/park board that wont break the bank either, go with the stairmaster, I just got mine this year and it so sick, most fun board ive ever ridden. i mean havent ridden it alot ( haha i think we all know why cough cough 60 degrees outside) but from what i ahve ridden it handles great on groomers and the rest of the moutain while still being able to press very nicely. It def not a noodle like the www or the artifact. It presses but only when you want it to press which is really nice. Soooo... my suggestion... go wit a stairmaster. SICK BOARD FO SURE!! method9455
-----Jib Boards------- I HATED my Ride Kink. With an absolute passion. Great for butters, presses, rails. Horrible for riding. It is exactly as they advertised, just not my type of board. I don't like Dominants for their base material. The K2 WWW is like a Kink, great for rails, probably even better than the Kink, but not great for everything else. I like the Artifact, but again, not as great all around, better than the WWW and the Kink. ----Softer Park Boards ----- Rome Agent Ride DH K2 Darkstar Burton Twin Burton Jeremy Jones -----Stiffer Park Boards ---- GNU Danny Kass Rome Anthemn Arbor Mystic K2 Willie Burton Custom GNU TRS GNU Altered Genetics I wouldn't count the Stairmaster, it doesn't have metal edges. I personally would say pick one of the boards from the bottom two catagories and you will be happier. If you do 100% rails, take the first. If you do 70% park, 30% freeriding, or even 50% Pipe/Jumps and 50% rails, I would take from the second category. If you do 50% park, 50% all over, or 60% pipe/jumps, 40% jibs, take from the 3rd. I personally take from the third and I'm always happy.

It is the forum street dweller that doesn't have edges. My shop doesn't carry capita so beyond the bsod I don't really know their boards.
