Matt Posted January 13, 2007 Report Posted January 13, 2007 1/12 - Bear Creek (Re)Opening Day (Take Two) Got there at 3:15, bought a $3.00 gatorade and was at the lift at 3:45 ready to go. The lift attendants didn't let us up 'til about 4:05pm. I skied mostly kodiak all day, with a few runs down the terrain-park-less black bear and 1 run down cascade to see how it was doing. I left at 6:15 'cause the crowds were getting insane. Here's the 10 top ten 'tip of my hat, wag of my finger 'Tip of my Hat 1. Bear Creek Snowmaking Staff (for opening up today) 2. I had a few conversations with them about BC, the forum, and stuff 10. The hills/little bumps on lower kodiak Wag of my Finger 1. The crowds, just waaaaaay too many people for 3 trails and 1 lift. 2. With lots 'o people bring waaay stupid people (Doug should give them a lesson smart-style ) 3. The $3 dollar gatorade (but I was expecting that cost to be that high, but i'm still gonna complain about it) I only got 3 things for this list ... Overall, the snow was pretty damn good considering they just made it last week. There are a few spots beginning to show, but they have extra piles laying around. They have coverage on the other side of the mountain, but no connecting trails as of yet. Hopefully the rain holds off (and the people, as I ski too) so BC can stay open throughout the season. But I made this a super short day 'cause of the crowds. Today: 6.5 Steezy's out of 10 Steezy's Quote
