skigurl Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 God i love Bode...and thank god he's finally even just finishing races...last year was getting depressing Quote
skidude Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 Jeff as I recalled he was pretty fast on both... Quote
AtomicSkier Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 Jeff as I recalled he was pretty fast on both... speed doesn't matter, its the results, you should know that....you can be the "fastest" skier in the world, but you gotta be able to turn...thats why i hate corvettes, they're fast, but they can't handle.... Quote
skidude Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 Well one thing that is much more importnant that the skis, is the tuning and as I recall with tomics bode got the worlds best tuning guy...so that could help a little more too Quote

skimom Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 (edited) The World Cup opened on the glacier in Soelden, AU, last weekend. Here's the new GS leader (check out the boards!): <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Bode is awesome, and he does better on Atomics. Skidude was just given a miniposter of Bode, from Atomic today - I'm thinking it's the same pic. Edited October 31, 2004 by skimom Quote

ThinkSnow Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 U gotta know Atomic is very set in his ways, which include Atomics and BMWs Quote
poconoceancity Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 U gotta know Atomic is very set in his ways, which include Atomics and BMWs <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They are both fine manufacturers, you can't blame him for standing by them. Quote
ThinkSnow Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Ut oh, you shouldn't have said that... now you're just going to incourage him Quote
AtomicSkier Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 The latest vettes (02-05's) handle very well and the Z06 does 0-60 in 3.9 seconds It may do 0-60 in 4.3 (according to MotorTrend, the authority for performance #'s) but just as my quote said, speed isn't everything. It may handle well, but when i talk about handling, I'm talking about the refinement, how well balanced it is, how it "feels", because around a road course my little inline-6 BMW M3 would stay right with the corvette, if not be faster then it, because of handling. I always say, "Driving a BMW is like one big orgasm, it just feels soo good", but thats for a whole nother day and yes greg, I do love both BMW's, and Atomics, ya know why? Cause they're the best. anyway...so yea, Bode rocks Quote
skidude Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Well I have never driven a BMW, but I have driven atomics...and can tell you their are better things out there Quote

AtomicSkier Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 I have to think that a Z06 would beat the M3 on the average road course stranger things have happened. One wouldn't also think that the lightweight version of my car, the M3 CSL, could be a 911 TT, or Ferrari 360 around a track, but i've got a vid to prove it. But comparing a z06 to an M3 is like comparing apples to oranges. The z06 is all about straightline speed. All the money you spend on that car goes towards the engine, certainly not the interior. Its a nice car, if you like that sorta thing. Anyone, back on track Quote
