jdew
Anyone hear why they were only allowing 3 people per chair on the Sullivan lift on Sunday. I heard a couple of possibilities from a sensor problem to limiting the number of skiers on the limited trails that are open.
Papasteeze
limiting the skiers per acre would be one of the smartest things they could do. however I think they should just limit ticket sales but then there is no way to regulate the pass holders unless they add scanners, turn styles etc etc. I heard the generators running full out, I thought that was unusual in that few of the lifts were running. Are those generators dedicated just for snow making?
toast21602
too bad Blue didnt do that. they had the quad, 6pack, and both of the doubles running and once people started showing up it got reeeeeal bad because there are pretty much only 2 trails that people are skiing off of those lifts. Glenn
I asked one of the lifties but she mumbled and turned her head away?!?!
SkiUtah
The Sullivan didn't open until around 8:30AM because they said they were having trouble. A person I rode the lift with said it was down a while last Thursday. I asked one of the lifties, that are usually always there, and he said they had to limit the weight because they had two systems to balance the lift and one wasn't working. Then he added " The people who can fix it are on vacation in the Caribbean". he sounded serious and little disgusted. I thought about it later and think he must have been kidding. No business would allow that to happen...
librider
Utah is right. The balence system was messed up. So they couldnt exceed a weight limit. They said using only 3 people instead of 4 saved over 1500lbs at a time.

cameltoe
They probably would have made me go it alone, then skip two chirs.....so don't feel bad!
