Timeless Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 Hey SkiCB, where is today's "dawn patrol" report? I was just getting used to a real-time update each day from someone on-site and now you stop. Will you be running the stevenson quad from opening tomorrow? Quote
Ashleigh S Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 Hey SkiCB, where is today's "dawn patrol" report? I was just getting used to a real-time update each day from someone on-site and now you stop. Will you be running the stevenson quad from opening tomorrow? Sorry- SkiCB is out of the office today, so no dawn report. We plan to have the Stevenson Express open first thing tomorrow. By the way, do you know that Camelback will be the only ski area on the East Coast with a halfpipe open this weekend (besides New England)! Dont forget that you will need your advanced park pass for the Oak Grove Halfpipe. You can get your pass at the top of Rhodo now. We plan to have the Rhodo Park open by February 3. Quote
Papasteeze Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 By the way, do you know that Camelback will be the only ski area on the East Coast with a halfpipe open this weekend Not true Ash, Roundtop will have thiers open as will Big Boulder - Bear Creek says on thier trail report but no one is talking about it. Not sure what shape Shawnee is in. From Bear: Cascade Open Black Bear Park Open Grizzly Family Park Closed Half Pipe Open from Roundtop: Great news...the Recruit Terrain Park and Bunker Hill Terrain Park are open! We will be at 100% open, including Gunbarrel and the Half Pipe by Saturday! They're back...Big Daddy's bumps are back on Fanny Hill! Sorry for busting your chops. Quote
method9455 Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 Shawnee said they're building their park first, then the pipe so I dunno. Also not sure about Bear no one has hit it. Hunter doesn't even have theirs open yet but they're close, the Hunter blog today showed the pipe full of snow but uncut. Still haven't even heard if Creek is going to open the Superpipe this year, I'm not sure - the weather looks solid for the next few weeks so its possible the mountains around here will fully recover from the crappy start, just depends on management commitment. No mountains are allowed to close with enough snow left on the ground after this crappy start - any that do will lose their pass holders in droves. This especially applies to Mountain Creek and Camelback who have been closed more often than the others, as well as being notorious for closing before they have to. Quote
