LOW PRESSURE IS FORECAST TO MOVE ACROSS THE GULF COAST STATES TONIGHT AND THURSDAY AND THEN REFORM ALONG THE MIDDLE ATLANTIC COAST THURSDAY NIGHT. THE LOW IS THEN FORECAST TO INTENSIFY AS IT HEADS NORTHEAST AND OUT TO SEA ON FRIDAY. AS THE LOW MOVES BY TO THE SOUTH AND EAST, SNOW IS FORECAST TO DEVELOP FROM NORTHEAST MARYLAND, ACROSS DELAWARE AND INTO EXTREME SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY THURSDAY AFTERNOON. THE SNOW IS THEN EXPECTED TO SPREAD NORTHWARD THROUGH THE REST OF NEW JERSEY AND THROUGH EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA EARLY THURSDAY NIGHT. AS THURSDAY NIGHT PROGRESSES, THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR A WINTRY MIX OF PRECIPITATION. THIS MIX WOULD INCLUDE SNOW, SLEET AND POSSIBLY FREEZING RAIN AS WARMER AIR MOVES IN ALOFT WHILE SURFACE TEMPERATURES REMAIN BELOW FREEZING. A CHANGE TO RAIN IS EXPECTED ALONG THE COAST AS TEMPERATURES SHOULD MOVE ABOVE FREEZING DUE TO THE PROXIMITY OF THE WARMER OCEAN. PEOPLE SHOULD CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE SITUATION DUE TO THE POSSIBILITY OF WINTRY WEATHER. Quote
Ski Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 There was a news report that we've now had 13 straight days with at least a trace of snowfall...all adding up to less than 4", though. Quote

bigdaddyk Posted February 1, 2007 Author Report Posted February 1, 2007 Do you think anywhere will hit minus 15..that's the coldest I remember here in the A in January of 94..the only winter of my memory where there was solid snowcover for 3 months straight.. '96 I remember it was -22 for a high temp in Bloom. I had to go to college that day, after the blizzard, and they didn't have any lots plowed Quote
