I know blue would be able to open earlier and stay open longer.

All the mountains around here could use a couple of those. If you read the requirements though.... lots of water, lots of compressors, lots of precooling, lots of investment. They would be nice, but I don't know if any mountain around here would bring in enough revenue from weeks in pre/post season to make up for all that investment.

the 30th is their projected day to start blowing, not to open. this came from the mtn manager so dont go and tell me different haha.

with the humidity we usually have around here, most of blue's guns, with the exception of the fan guns, can't blow until it gets below about 28. the fan guns can blow a little above 32.

yea, and they only have a few fan guns, unless they roll them out, but they have at least two tower mounted ones...
