Jer Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 just giving a heads up for anyone that might want to check it out. the new pipe is by far the biggest and best pipe ever build in the state of PA. its offical mesurements are 18'X40'X440'. its on a fairly steep pitch (id compare it to copper mountains pipe in steepness). definately steeper than the freeway pipe at breck. anyways, the trannys are cut to perfection and its going to be one sick spring season! the park is getting its final touches today 35' table top 40' step down jump 40' rainbow box 55' S box 30' tripple barrel rail 12'x10' wall ride on top of a quarter pipe. 30' flat rail. the place is looking absolutely sick! with the ammount of base on the hill, we should be riding the pipe/park till at mid april or more! rgrwilco Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 its a cryin shame Pa has to be so wide Quote
Jer Posted February 16, 2007 Author Report Posted February 16, 2007 you can always road trip it out for a day or two once all the mountains out your way are closed. i guarantee we are riding into april, and there is talk of keeping just the park open after the rest of the mountain is closed. that would mean riding into the end of april or even begining of may!!!! Quote
snorovr Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 I'm plannin on taking a trip out there in March at some point. Quote
method9455 Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 I've heard so many good things about 7 springs but for the drive I can be in Vermont you know? I would like to see some pictures though I've seen pictures from years past and it looks sick. Looks like you will have the only superpipe south of Vermont this year - Mountain Creek isn't opening theirs. Quote
Schif Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 7 Springs is defiantly doable for me. Maybe within the next week or 2. First I've got to worry about exams though. Quote
Stevo Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 - Mountain Creek isn't opening theirs. Grand prixwhat? Seriously? Doesn't roundtop have a super pipe? Quote
method9455 Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 Grand prixwhat? Seriously? Doesn't roundtop have a super pipe? Grand Prix got canceled - moved to Mount Bachelor I believe. Roundtop plowed theirs over last year, no longer have one. Quote
Jer Posted February 19, 2007 Author Report Posted February 19, 2007 ahhh opening day of the pipe!!! drop dead sexy! another view Quote
Papasteeze Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 NOW SEE!!!!? That is what I am talking about. Quote
Jer Posted February 19, 2007 Author Report Posted February 19, 2007 pics of "the spot" terrain park coming soon. 35' table top into 45' step down jump is the best double line we have ever had at 7springs. and honestly the best ive ever hit east of the rockies. really long steep landings make for fun times! Quote
Jer Posted February 19, 2007 Author Report Posted February 19, 2007 heres some shots of our medium park/pipe and small park as well. Quote
Papasteeze Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 (edited) pics of "the spot" terrain park coming soon. 35' table top into 45' step down jump is the best double line we have ever had at 7springs. and honestly the best ive ever hit east of the rockies. really long steep landings make for fun times! good to hear you guys are stepping it down and up!! How are your crowds? It's not boulder - but it does look nice. Edited February 19, 2007 by Papasteeze Quote
Jer Posted February 19, 2007 Author Report Posted February 19, 2007 crowds on the weekends suck just like most mountains. mid week is real nice. ill post up pics of our big park as soon as i can. pick a line: A. 20ft flat rail, into 30ft X box, into double jump line, into 8' tall wall ride. b. 50' S box into (see above line) c. either of the first two rails, into 40 rainbow, into 30' urban down rail, into wall ride. d. either of the first two rails, into the X box, into the super pipe. Matt B Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 pipe loooks sickkkkkk park looks funnn might have to go there for a filming day Quote
toast21602 Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 looks like you need to utilize the space that you have. throw a ton more rails up. you could have so many different lines and options. from the looks, it is on par with Bear and maybe Blue or Boulder. Quote

Thats funny becuase Bear has a better park then Blue, Big Boulder on the other hand... Quote
rgrwilco Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 bears parking isnt really living up to the hype this year and ill admit that. its still fun though. and the 7springs parks look like a great time, maybe better then bear. ive always wanted to go out there and i think i will, anyone else down? id have to go it alone since my buddies dont like to go far to ride(pussies). Jer Posted February 20, 2007 Author Report Posted February 20, 2007 the pics that i put up are of our small park and our medium park. i have not shown any pics of the big park ( except the big pipe.) believe me, our big park is REALLY good. id put it up against anything on the east coast right now. oh just a friendly reminder, park passes are required for "the spot" park and pipe ( our biggest park/pipe) our other two parks are open to everyone, no pass needed. n0xidee Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 As an east coaster who is now out west and has been to this place, I must say it is pretty sick. They have a park for everyone. It is the best for people like me who aren't park rats and just like to hit a few butter boxes or small jumps. It may not be as good as boulder, but they have three different parks and the big one looks pretty sick. Quote
Jer Posted February 21, 2007 Author Report Posted February 21, 2007 when was the last time you were at 7springs? last year was our best year for the parks, and this year blows last year clear out of the water. Quote
n0xidee Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 I was there about a month ago. The big park wasn't open then. Neither was the pipe. Quote
Jer Posted February 22, 2007 Author Report Posted February 22, 2007 a couple shots of the big park. Quote
Schif Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 That looks incredible. Defiantly one of the biggest rainbow's I've ever seen. I'll have to convince someone to drive me out there in a week or so. Quote
