Snoshredder21 Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 if ur goin to mountain creek, ull have to pay 5 bucks for a "park pass" this season. they say u have to buy one to use all of the vernon peak parks. i thing its pretty stupid Quote
insomniac Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 Actually, It keeps alot of the old people and the other people that shouldn't be there outve the park. Its a good idea, thats why its used other places. Its only $5 Quote

insomniac Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 (edited) Nothin against them. If they have the ability, and want to go in the park, its only $5. It just keeps all those people who shouldnt be in there out, and keeps them less crowded. You can not t honestly say that there isnt people in the park that should not be anywhere near it. xkinkrider03x Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 (edited) thats really good. what about in the case of triple play and season pass holders? EDIT: where did you get this info from? its no where on there site Edited November 17, 2004 by xkinkrider03x Quote
soldier32 Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 yea i think thats an awesome idea. we always used to say that places should have that. its good that places are doing that and maybe now more and more will do it Quote

It's a great idea and it might just stop the day tripping muppets from hurting themselves, or worse one of the PASR members. Just don't discriminate against those of us that have passed 30. Quote
skidude Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 Is it 5 bucks a day, or a season? Only seems fair. Gotta pay to go down a Nastar corse, why not have to pay to go in a park? Quote
Snoshredder21 Posted November 17, 2004 Author Report Posted November 17, 2004 $5 for the Season..... if it was per day id never go to mc again Quote
pyro_boarder Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 (edited) yeah is it daily or for the season? 5 bucks a day would add up realy fast. [edit: sorry that last post wasen't there when i started typing] It would keep out some people, like those who just ski down the trail and get in the way. But i don't thing it would deter the people who are pretending to be cool and sit in line up then ride aroud the rail. or go very slow over a jump with out getting any air. would the money go back into the park or contribute to corprate greed? Snoshredder21 Posted November 17, 2004 Author Report Posted November 17, 2004 money probably would go to intrawest or something Quote
Timeless Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 $5 for the Season..... if it was per day id never go to mc again <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If they are going to do this, it will almost certainly be per day. How else would they apply it to day tickets? Sounds like a good little earner, should allow them to re-invest some more money in their park/pipe. Quote
skidude Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 Well they could give you a pass to go around your neck, or something like that, (like a SP) Quote
Snoshredder21 Posted November 17, 2004 Author Report Posted November 17, 2004 yea but its 5 bucks for the whole season. so thats good. u dont want to spend extra to go in the park every day. i wouldnt Quote
Justo8484 Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 i think this idea would help every ski area. it would keep people out of the park who shouldnt be there. people arent gonna pay an extra $5 just to ski one trail unless they really want to take full advantage of the park Quote
nick malozzi Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 can i pay 5 to just go in the park and nowhere elese? lol Quote
Schif Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 This idea is really great, there is finally a way to keep people out of parks that shouldn't be there. You can keep all the tourists, and those little kids who just want to "see all the neat stuff", out of the park. I almost landed on one of them last year, so I would love to see this around here. insomniac Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 When I said old people I meant OLD people. Like 50+. They're at BB all the time and they ruin everything. Quote
UrbanAssualt Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 i love the idea i think more people should do it especially boulder and i think that they should use the money to make their parks more badass Quote
xkinkrider03x Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 this keeps the people that like to 'explore' out of the park and out of our way. its better that way. id rather pay 5 bucks for a card for the whole season. besides.. you wont even miss it the many times your there, you'll never realize you lost it. and it keeps everyone out. only serious people in the park because, we've all had the tourist cut us off going into a jump or rail. happens atleast 4 times evertime im up there. especially at creek due to all teh city people. no tourist is going to spend 5 bucks extra on top of the 50 dollar lift, just to ride through the park.. its such a great idea, i love it. Quote
skidude Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 And it will keep your park in a better condition, as less people would be using/abusing it. Quote
soldier32 Posted November 19, 2004 Report Posted November 19, 2004 yea boulder should do it but it would be hard for them since the tannenbaum park is kinda wide out in the open at the base area of the mountain. but they should at least maybe do it for the boulder park, since its the bigger one anyways and has the more dangerous stuff Quote
insomniac Posted November 19, 2004 Report Posted November 19, 2004 I dont think half the tourists even know that Big Boulder Trail has a park. That ones not bad at all compared to tannenbaum. Quote
