Schif Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 so who all is going to show up on saturday, i might be there depends on my shoulder and how it feels on friday Not lookin to good for me. but because I'm so upset about missing PASR day at the boot and all it entails (skiing down steps, running men, steezy raps, skiing with my hair on fire, and of course the fantastic meet and greet with Mark Miller). I'll just have to have my own PASR day at Tussey and do all that stuff myself. Quote
toast21602 Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 my girlfriend is staying over friday night.... so i might be able to get up there by 12 if i'm lucky. i have a soccer tournament that i have to leave for at 4:00 though.... so we'll see. i'd like to get up there. Quote
Zonked Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 I'll be up. I'm going to try my hardest to get their early because I'm not staying all day. Quote
stever2003 Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 Are there any deals? Discounts? I'm not sure I can get up unless there are. Will we get to do any racing? Quote
sexkitten Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 Me, me, me too. Bob and I will be there from 7:20 till lunch or so. BTW, I'd love free or discounted tickets too. Quote
Zonked Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 I'd just like to make it there early. I'm always late, for everything. I say I'll be there early but I'll probably show up at like 11:30 Quote
Zonked Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 But for your equestian stuff I bet your on time...just set your alarm clock mad early.....and even if your out of it just think...I get to ski with Doug, Sexkitten, Tretiak, Atomic Jeff, Shady Shadows, Burnt Toast, and whoever else is at the boot..get out of bed..and Ga Ga Ga Ga Gooooooo... I have to be for my horsey stuff. If I'm not on time I get eliminated or it knocks me out of the winnings. I am, I'm going to set it early and I will get out of bed even if that means rolling onto the cold floor. Quote

snorovr Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 I'll get up early and take some laps before Freeriders... Quote
stever2003 Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 34 bucks for an all day ticket with a college ID I believe..no racing...Nastar is Thursday nights and Sunday afternoons..cash in your loose change and hit up the Boot on Saturday.. Actually, that's not a terrible idea. I was broke (literally) at the end of the summer and on my break between classes and my third co-op (we do three 6-month internships at drexel) because i stockpile money while I'm on co-op, and then use it to pay the rent/everything else while in class. So, one night by buddy wants to go to Atlantic city. i wanted to but didn't have the money. Well, he points to my change can and says I should use that. I agree with him. So we drive around South Philly from midnight to 1am looking for an open supermarket with a CoinStar machine (I wasn't aware the casinos would have cashed the change in at the time). Let's just say there are some characters in South Philly supermarkets at 1 in the morning. One lady saw me walking in the story with a jar full of change and, knowing exactly why I was there, got real excited and pointed me in the direction of the machine without me asking. My coin jar yielded $50, and that combined with what I had in my wallet was enough for me to get to AC and lose miserably in blackjack. The end. Back to the present...I'm not happy with Blue Mountain and their student discount thing. I had no idea they had a student discount all last year. I went there 6 times last year. Like most other businesses do, I expected that they would have asked if I was a student each time I bought a ticket. Nope. And since I did not know they had a student discount, I dropped $29 on the Blue Blizzard card for this year thinking it would save me money. Instead, I discovered the student discount and have used it every time I hit up the Boot this year. I'd estimate that not knowing about Blue's student discount cost me $200 extra over the last 4 seasons. Even worse, on the website it says the student discount is for people ages 16-21. I turn 22 on March 7, so even though I'll be a student for the next 16 months (I'm in a 5 year program), I'm hoping they don't give me any shit about being over the age limit. I can't afford to ski there if they do. Quote
n0xidee Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 If I end up coming home this weekend I will try to make an appearance, but that is a longshot Quote
bigdaddyk Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 If there was some type of discount, like they had at JFBB, I'd go, but I don't want to pay a lot for a ticket and be swamped by people . Quote
mbike-ski Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 Im gonna try to get in some am runs... Quote
Barb Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 I am sorry we will miss it. If for no other reason I don't get to meet the infamous Doug. I thought we could ride on the lift together and he could seranade me with a rap song. Quote
tretiak Posted February 22, 2007 Author Report Posted February 22, 2007 shoulder is starting to feel better so looks like i will be out this saturday unless i injure it again Quote
ColoradoHigh Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 Damn, I won't be able to get up on Saturday. I will be up on Sunday though. Doug, if you will be up on Sunday, you should stick around till like 12:30 or 1:00 because right after, I go with my dad to the Blue Mountain Drive In. Quote

stever2003 Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 So what's up with this PASR day? Do we just drive up and ski because we're on PASR? Or, are there any events/meet & greets going on? What's the deal? Quote
