Park skis?

I keep thinking more and more about getting a set of skis... I think i'm gonna end up buying a set for next season. Where can i find cheap park skis, cheap bindings, and cheap boots. Not totally bottom of the line stuff, but something to get started with. How much should i expect to spend? How does ski sizing work?

used ski sale at nestors for boots and bindings and all that good stuff. cheap skis from ebay.... you could probably have a decent setup for under $500

used boots is a terrible idea. if you're gonna drop cash, do it right and get boots that are fit correctly. are you lookin for stuff to ride park mostly, or all mountain? cause if you're just gonna be riding park and need to keep the cost down, get used skis over used boots. your skis are just gonna be dulled down from rails anyway. you can usually find used skis on newschoolers going for like $100, new stuff for under 300. ask anyone who's been skiing for a while and they will tell you how important a properly fitting boot is. check out the message boards after the season is over; chances are some of us will have some gear to dump.

Next time i see you at blue, we'll swap. I won't hit anything in the park, but i can ski alright. just ask dbag....

Get some rentals. You ain't touchin' my sh*t. :D

Actually that gives me an idea. Maybe a funny edit would be you doin' laps in the park with full on rental gear...

I saw a used set of lines with bindings in excellent shape for sale at the Loft. Justo is right though, get NEW boots that fit.. on the ohter hand at the Loft they have a consignement thing there, you could try on a bunch of what they have and see if something fits, learn a little about boot fitting first though.

get some invaders.... a good ski brand new and its only 250$. you can get good bindings for about 100$ on ebay, and you can get 1-2 year old new boots for 100-200$.

i got my poles 3 years ago, they were 25 bucks and there still in good shape.

adds up to about 500$

also, get boots that are just touching the tips of your does when you put them on. it may feel not right at first, but when you actually ski the boot will flex, thus creating room between the end of the boot liner and your toes.

i have a little beat up line 1260s with look p12jibs and atomic 28.5 boots that are beat up for sale. 130 for everything

What size are the skis? Would they be right for 5'7 150 lbs? 28.5 boots...what does that translate into in shoe size? I know it's not exact, but i wear 11.5-12. I'm interested. pics maybe?
