TT C6 Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 (edited) I am heading to Vermont this weekend and our group will be staying at a condo in the Okemo area. I'm looking for a mountain that has the BEST table top jumps with 20ft - 35ft gaps. Looking for a well groomed park with clean/predictable take-offs and steep landings. Which is the best mountain for me this season? Thanks for any info. Edited February 28, 2007 by TT C6 Quote
method9455 Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 I was very disappointed with Mount Snow when I went up, I would say check Okemo out its usually very good, but spend a day at Stratton as well. Both will be very good. Mount Snow maybe better now its been about a month since I was up there but at the time 1/2 the parks where open and they didn't have one jump that was nice. Quote

I'm thinking of doing the 1st day at Stratton and the 2nd day at Okemo. Quote
TT C6 Posted March 1, 2007 Author Report Posted March 1, 2007 (edited) The people from the Ski Vermont Discussion list nicknamed Stratton...Flatton and Okemo..Slowkemo.. When you have the chance hit up Sugarbush, Stowe, Smugglers, Mad River Glen, and Jay Peak for some real mountains with steeps.. I'm not looking for a real mountain with steeps, I'm looking for the the best built/groomed tabletop jumps. But, I do like steep landings. Edited March 1, 2007 by TT C6 Quote

My trip reminded me and my friends that Stratton is the BOMB. Okemo is great and has some BIG jumps, but we definitely thought Stratton was the place to be. I'm starting a thread now to setup a group trip to Stratton for the US Open which is going on March 12th to the 18th if anyone wants to share a ride and lodging. Let me know. Quote
