Metzy ... good job! NJ rocks, man.

You already are a winner just by being there and hitting the gates.

Hope to see you next weekend at Sn

Whats up everyone and thanks for all the support! Johnny P took nationals this year so a big congrats to him! It was hard snow first run today, and a lot softer on the second... I gave up 2 seconds when I lost my pole out of the start and it took me 5 gates to get it back on :banghead . Anyways, it was a great course that they set on Highline. I ended up 3rd in the C division, which is basically like getting bronze in the special olympics... lol. I'm hoping I might be able to make that final nastar weekend at sno... I may or may not have to work sat. and sun. though... as golf season is coming and our shop is starting to pick up. Well its going to be party time in a while. I'll post another report when I get back home after tomorrow.

Conditions today- started at 18 degrees and went up to like 38 or 40... kinda gnarly on the second run.

Great job, Metzy...you also had to run the course in it's worst condition. I have to admit that we took bets on your first run time and you cost me $20---I had you at a minute flat (eh, because I figured you'd have blue ice into bad ruts)...

Eh, the course held up pretty well today... at least on first run. And I skied pretty well... the second run I skied well enough to have a 46 and change... but like i said... i was upright and trying to get my hand back on my pole for the first 5 gates since I lost it in the start, which also killed my kick. boo to that.

On another note, since my nordica SL skis fell apart on me I'll be purchasing new skis next year. I'm going to go to a production model race ski for both GS and SL. What am I getting? I'm coming over to the dark side. Eat your heart out Jeff.

Metzy, you should watch the guy (Steve) you finished right behind in both runs...he's a friend of mine from multiple camps...he's a really solid racer. You def. picked it up. If you watch him race, you'd wonder how the hell you came so close to him---which is a good thing.
