bigdaddyk Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 (edited) Today had to be the best day of the year . I arrived at 7:45 am and found a way out onto the snow, having to go around huge piles of snow to get onto the slopes. JF received over 1 foot of nice, fresh snow . The blues were nicely groomed and soft like butter. Today, the diamonds were actually challenging. They had one or two groom passes down the centers, but the sides were left ungroomed. Tons of fresh powder were left on all of them. The "power line," the tree line between challenge and east mt, was getting hit up a few times. The glades were also in prime condition. River shot and lightning are unbeatable on a day like today, three headwalls of deep powder . Edited March 17, 2007 by bigdaddyk Quote

jordan Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 The "power line," . did you hit it? what about vader? Quote
bigdaddyk Posted March 18, 2007 Author Report Posted March 18, 2007 did you hit it? what about vader? No, not that one... I'm leary of hitting a rock or something and messing up my edges. I go through some of the other glades like mad tree or t-bolt or the ones under the lifts, because it's a little easier to see what's in there, from the trails. Where is vader...I'm sure I know about it, but never heard of the name. Quote
bigdaddyk Posted March 18, 2007 Author Report Posted March 18, 2007 too lazy to type elevator Oh...I didn't notice anybody going down it. Quote
rideordie7 Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 Saturday was an epic day for JF. We got to the mountain at around 8:45. Fresh Pow was to be had all day long. I couldn't believe how much was still untouched when we left at 2:30. I have my secret spots and we were doing powder slashes the whole day!!!! Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
meggles Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 i was at bb saturday and sunday..the hill was absolutely empty (especially compared to what i was expecting)..it was crazy got hit on pretty bad on saturday by a bunch of boarders. hahaha im pretty sure half of them were like 12 too. but anywho, i took so many switch runs..soooooo much fun in the conditions that we had..and i learned that its a very bad idea to ski switch in pow, get going fast, and then try to turn around so that youre going normal again..bad things happen..my neck still hurts haha oh, and now most of the setups in freedom are ride-on and whatnot but yeah, the snow was soo ridiculously nice Quote
