Just read the popular science for Nov. They have an article about a new binidng Nordica is putting out called the x balance system.

You can read the article here:

Anyways, just wondering the thoughts of the skiers. To me, if I lean forward, its for a reason, and if I can't move my weight around that is a problem, but maybe on ski's its different.

yea i know what you mean, for a beginner/noob/cruiser that might be good, but for a racer/expert who wants their weight distributed the way they want it to be, a fixed plate would be more suitable.

That was my first thought, but at $900-$1,150 that didn't make sense to me. Then again, maybe I'm not that intune with ski binding prices. Is that a standard rate?

Interesting link and always good to read something new...but does one spend a thousand dollars and give up a solid platform just so the squirrel lives? I say @#$% the squirrel and ski on...

That sounds like just another thing to go with their over priced beast setup, so all those people that thing the more expensive the equipment, the better it is, and the better it will make you. Besides the face I love my boots, I hate nordica. And on another note, That would suck for park too. I think mostly everyone would hate that unless they skied that from day one. And skiing with those would kill the experience.
