Rowsdower Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 (edited) Personally I think Bear's pipe is too slow. On good days when the walls are nice and tall you can get some good speed going but as soon as the sun hits the one side it just falls apart. and whats Diamond/Icon's deal? snowboarddude Posted October 14, 2007 Author Report Posted October 14, 2007 i think if people didn't go up 1/3 of the way and turn back around the pipe might be in okay shape.... but so many younger kidds and there dads wanna go in the "big bowl thing" hahha Quote
snowboarddude Posted October 17, 2007 Author Report Posted October 17, 2007 i think icon n that other guy are the same guy! Quote
snowboarddude Posted October 22, 2007 Author Report Posted October 22, 2007 i was out at bear getting my pass 2day and the new lodge is coming along good and i noticed that bear put some blowers in the middle of tubing!! the double c looks sick and the quater pipe lookes different idk how they are setting it up but it should be interesting! snowboarddude Posted October 23, 2007 Author Report Posted October 23, 2007 ACCORDING to acuweather BEAR MIGHT GET SOME SNOWBLOWING TIME in a WEEK!!!!! the report is right on the border line it could go up or come down!!! x ur fingers o i also heard in addition to bc iron work bear is ordering some new rails??? can anyone verify Quote
snowboarddude Posted October 24, 2007 Author Report Posted October 24, 2007 yeah i drove out there the other day and it was looking almost full.... i wonder if they will blow enought for a rail jam in early nov??? that would be sick Quote
snowboarddude Posted October 24, 2007 Author Report Posted October 24, 2007 wont happen... someone is feeling negitve today!!! hahaha anyone now about them ordering more rails?? here is another good idea that would be sick... i rode one at vail and it was really smooth Quote
rgrwilco Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 they dont have to order rails, they build em in house. Quote
Schif Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 here is another good idea that would be sick... i rode one at vail and it was really smooth They've got those things at Sno Quote
LTDSNOWBOARDER Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 not negative, just anybody with anysort of brain knows it wont happen. Quote
K2rider Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 i agree with LTD. they couldn't. the water in the pond would still be too warm to make snow. this is the same problem they had last yr Quote
Tyler Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 bear creek wont order planet rails...they havent had good experiences with them in the past. plus anything andy builds is better quality than anything they can buy. Quote
snowboarddude Posted October 24, 2007 Author Report Posted October 24, 2007 i know but it suxs because the don't build them very fast so we only have one new rail n that weird quater pipe thingi thought they might order another flat rail or somthing like thato and about the snow blowing i was more of thinking that they turn the blowers on n test them to see if everything is working... Quote
burton71 Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 They have plenty of rails and whats weird about the 1/4 pipe? Quote
stbgskibum247 Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 Hey minizep, how do you know they only have one new rail and "that quarter pipe thing"? Just relax and wait to see what the season brings, I think you'll be satisfied... Quote
GNU_rider Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 They've already got a picnic table granted it's probably slower and some what shorter but what they need is an urban style double kink or some sort of skinnier kinked rail. I also doubt they'd try and blow snow this early because of such questionable weather and water temp. in the pond, but let me feel this out if there was some sort of rail jam using a rail or box from bear how many of you guys would go but it wouldn't be on bears premises. snowboarddude Posted October 24, 2007 Author Report Posted October 24, 2007 sry... all this time off the snow is making me go crazy.... about that rail jam?? how far would it be from bear? Quote
snowboarddude Posted October 25, 2007 Author Report Posted October 25, 2007 who got a season pass here? Quote
mollyskeez Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 wasnt there already somthing about this?? but anyway im getting and unlimited. Quote
GNU_rider Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Well first off the rail jam would either be in ardmore (45 to an hour from bear) or in the fairless hills/langhorne area I'm not totally sure on time from bear. As for the pass unlimited holla! Quote
snowboarddude Posted October 25, 2007 Author Report Posted October 25, 2007 how did u get an unlimited 4 free??? Quote
