EAZY-Emuntz Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 I just looked at the jf bb website and it says nothing about snowmaking Quote
Rowsdower Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 Maybe the snowmakers struck a deal with unholy powers over the summer and that's why they're saying they can open the mountain in 1/3 less time or whatever. How else could they do it other than with the aid of spirits.... Quote
skeer_tomas Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 i have heard that story before and i don't believe it... bc has park crew out into late at night an groomers out all night and snowmaking people out all night.... what do u have to say to that?? Personally I never experienced anything strange afterhours on the mountain. About the wierdest thing i ever experienced were some cards moving completely by themselves. Andy knows what im talkin about. Quote
BC-Mark Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 (edited) Here are some new photos that I took yesterday of some of the features Andy is finishing up. They show the quarterpipe, a long flat/step down/flat box, the double c box, the concrete ledge and the bleacher feature. Edited November 8, 2007 by BC-Mark Quote
stevePSSC Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 wow... i want to hit up BC this year.. the new jibs look awesome! if only blue mountain would build stuff like this instead of the crap they make Quote
A_B Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 the new stuff looks sick...im interested to see how that bleacher feature is going to be set up Quote
dolfman261 Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 that stuff looks sooo nice, cant wait... Quote
GNU_rider Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 Those features look amazing, I can't wait for the bleachers or that ledge I'm so glad bear does everything in house! Quote
BC Iron Works Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 Thanks for all the great compliments... there is definetly alot of hard work being put in right now by Joe C (Crew supervisor) and myself... this season will be amazing! The Bleacher box was designed to sit on a hip like snowfeature with various possibilities but it can pretty much sit anywhere! take care everyone. Andy Quote
twist0pher Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 Damn. New features are looking sick. Hopefully we get a good start date for the season and it lasts long. Quote
Tyler Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 i'm really liking that step down box, how long is it specifically? Quote

andTO86 Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 Maybe the snowmakers struck a deal with unholy powers over the summer and that's why they're saying they can open the mountain in 1/3 less time or whatever. How else could they do it other than with the aid of spirits.... Uh. maybe with 3 times the snowmaking equipment, douche. Quote
snowboarddude Posted November 9, 2007 Author Report Posted November 9, 2007 i have heard bear was testing some blowers the other day!! n they will blow mad quick because they have 20 more guns and more electric and more water and doubled how much water they can pump in a minute i think it went from like 4000 gpm to like 8000gpm i could be wrong but i'm pretty sure that was it!! Quote
Rowsdower Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 Uh. maybe with 3 times the snowmaking equipment, douche. clearly I'm joking Quote
Saurus Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 That ledge is gay, i thought it was going to be like 2 feet high by 3 feet wide by 8 feet long, so its an urban setup. Quote
Snowbunny4 Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 Just an FYI...we offered a 40 foot transit bus to BC so they could build a one of a kind rail, but they did not want it....and we are giving it away...I still have not figured out why they did not take it....they could park it in the parking lot until they figured out what to do....they could even cut it in half....oh well Quote
