splooshie Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 okay. we got a redeye flight at 5:00 am. flew on jetblue, so we got satellite tv and xm radio... arrived at portland at 8:00 am, took 1 hour to drive to mount hood. checked into the hotel at 10. we unpacked, and me and my little bro(7) went to get our lift tickets. then we booted up, and took the vista express up. we lapped a great run that consisted of vista hights(a medium - large terrain park, only i hit the features) to mitchell creek(a long green run) to the zoo(a small-medium terrain park, my little bro learned a 180 saftey and he learned to tweak a mute ) to the shipyard(a small-medium rail park). then we ventured off all over the mountain at about 2:30, just after we had lunch. both of our favorite trails were elevator, above treeline and a sustained moderate pitch. the following days were really nice, great conditions. i learned a 720 on the 4th day and my brother learned to 3. it snowed a foot on our fifth day and i got first tracks in the silver bowl and super bowl...the pow was like slush, but still really fun. all the rails and jumps in the parks were really well built, rails slid nice and landings were long and smoooooth..... the food was great, exept for the burger king in portland. probably the worst burger king ive ever ate at. all in all a great vacation. i highly reccomend the mountain, great steeps, great parks, great time.
