Snowmaking news

My reports agree with your post stating that the other areas mentioned have made some snow.  While we had 1-2 marginal nights of snowmaking opportunity last week, our thinking here at Camelback was that the forecasted warm midweek period this week would erase any snowmaking that we started.  While we're all anxious to begin the season, we don't believe that the limited amount of snow made by other areas will have much impact in their ability to open, as this week does not look good for snowmaking until the upcoming weekend -- It's highly unlikely that you'll see any of the areas mentioned opening this week, and chances are, they'll be back to square one by weeks end.

Fortunately, longer range forecast are starting to show agreement that next week will feature a turn to much colder weather. I'm sure you'll see all areas, including Camelback, taking advantage of this weather change as soon as it arrives. When snowmaking operations begin, look for us to concentrate on up to 10 of our "A priority" trails to get them open as soon as possible.

Keep the faith. It won't be too much longer.

Ehhh tis better than nothing....and I think it was reasonable not to make snow last weekend...as most days this week were forcasted as lows above 32....ehh thats no good...but this weekend we will proabably see all resorts umm lighting up :lol
