skidude Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 LMAO SKi...Not taliban...just a terriorist Quote
emtp563 Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 I got that same PM as well. I was the one that started the Ranger Bashing thread. I was working at CB when the Ranger program was started. I know all of the Rangers who were hired originally. Trust me, the original guys were (and still are) a drunken idiots. You can find them after 5 p.m. at the Main Bar at CB, Barley Creek, The TI, or Smuggler's Cove. It's not like I was slandering anyone, everything I said was the truth ;-) Quote
skigurl Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 Yea alot of the Rangers are drunks, but alota people that work up there are drunks, there are even coaches that are drunks Quote
nick malozzi Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 You'll find that most adults in general are drunks, lol. However, i would imagine that those people you are all refering to are REALLY BAD drunks, haha! Quote
skidude Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 There up there with the ski instructors Quote
Dave_S Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 It would just turn into an old peoples MB...No teenagers really want to post with a bunch of 40 year olds...so it would get more old dudes and less teens/20s Hey take it easy on us old guys. Being 40 is not so bad. I find the discussions to be very interesting and it gives me good insight to what drives the masses. I love to see those that are younger than me interested in the best sport(s) in the world. Just keep in mind that you can do these sports your entire life. Quote
Dave_S Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 BTW keep it up and you will get banned Quote
nick malozzi Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 banned from where? the CB MB? i think most of us anticipate that to happen to us soon no matter what we say. being banned from here? i think not, free speech is aloud. but i don't think skidude was insulting the older generations in that post. i just think he meant that less younger people would get involved. not for a reason of not liking old people. but just the reason that they would feel more at home among a younger crowd. Quote
ThinkSnow Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 Eh, I don't know here Jib... Seeing as I am approaching the "older crowd" that may be one of the only bannable offenses Quote
nick malozzi Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 haha, yea but i don't think he was old people bashing in that post, lol. Quote
skidude Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 Dave not trying to bash you old dudes, just saying that well there is one message board and I am the only person on it under 21..Its not too exciting from me. I would never bash the older dudes Unless of corse they have a yellow jacket with 2 double dimonds on it Quote
emtp563 Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 The way some of those people wearing the yellows jackets ski- perhaps they should be flaunting a green circle instead. Quote
Ski Posted January 27, 2004 Author Report Posted January 27, 2004 It would just turn into an old peoples MB...No teenagers really want to post with a bunch of 40 year olds...so it would get more old dudes and less teens/20s Skidude, I was hanging with a guy his late 50's on Sunday. Met him on the lift. He was funny, with a pissed off attitude about a Montage Ranger. We took a couple of runs down the north face and he was a really good skier. But what do you talk about with some guy that's almost 60? He complained about being stiff and his bum knee. Well, then he headed over to NASTAR, stripped off his coat and ski pants and was wearing a race suit. Okay, Gramps, I'm thinking. Then he jumped out of the wand and smoked the course, beating the f*ing pacesetter, who is a Montage Ski Team coach. This is his NASTAR Registration ID: WAD97 You know, a certain calm came over me watching that old timer. I suddenly realized that when my wife and dog are dead and my daughters have long since disowned me, I still might be able to ski a 13 handicap. That would sure bring me inner peace. Being old doesn't have to suck. Quote
skidude Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 Hey im not saying its sucks im just saying to a teenager it is not the most interesting thing ever. Quote

Dave_S Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 Trust me there are few things in this world that are more exciting than being a teenager! I loved 19. I like 40 because it beats the alternative but more power to the teen crowd. You only get to do it once. Quote
