Glenn Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 Yeah, that is total crap. Man I would have been so pissed off. I completely hate Camelback sometimes... Oh well, you take what you can get, right? If camelback didn't see everything in money vision, they'd have a much better mountain. *edit* I just looked this up on the camelback site and here is what it says From the season passes page: Sunday-Friday & Nights (Sunday-Friday pass valid every night during the season, and Sunday - Friday all season, excluding Sundays of Martin Luther King and President's Weekends: January 16, 2005 and February 20, 2005.) From the rates page: Night (4:00 pm to 10:00 pm) You obviously have a reason to be angry. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't even think its about money. I mean, I wasn't going to buy a ticket for the day, and they knew that. It wasn't busy enough that I was going to hold up "legit" ticket holders. I mean, there was NO line for the lift when I tried to get on. It's really more about CB being a machine rather than CB being about the sport. Thats why they aren't open on nights. Thats why they didn't try to blow a few weeks ago. Thats why they will close with snow on the ground. Thats why they won't do much for the park, or mogul runs etc. It's about seeing how little they can get by with and still run a buisness. It's not how good of a skiing/riding experience we can make. Maybe I'm wrong though, what do you think? Quote
ski4everNJ Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 As a former business major I can safely say that you're right... I have the same season pass as you do, and had I driven from NJ and was told that I would've had a sh*t fit!!!!!!!! b/c as was pointed out, you were within their "prescribed guidelines" Quote
skidude Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 i proudly say with out lying that i did end up getting the first chair with my friend and some kid i never met. had the first run down birches and into the terrain park. it was an excellent day hope to be there tommorow. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I saw some people (looked like 4 boarders) waiting inline from like 720 on and I was like ehh screw it. Plus around 755 the head coach came in and started talking for about 10 minutes...So ehh whatever. And I am sure anyone who was skiing on Tut saw me. Cause our team was making laps, flying by everyone only got yelled at once the whole weekend Quote
skidude Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 Ohh yeah, one run I saw, and counted 11 different rangers...Freaking 11 rangers, and that isn't even counting any that were hanging out at the bottom of the lift. I guess that is what happens when you have like 4 trails open Quote
skimom Posted December 19, 2004 Author Report Posted December 19, 2004 i proudly say with out lying that i did end up getting the first chair with my friend and some kid i never met. had the first run down birches and into the terrain park. it was an excellent day hope to be there tommorow. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was in the third chair, and didn't see anyone who looked like a PAskiandrider! If you were first, where was your logo??? The first chair had a free heel skier on the left, two boarders in the middle and a skier on the right (? green skis?). Were you one of them? I was the first adult tracks (King Tut) and also the first YARD SALE of CBs season. Some nimrod crashed into me from behind on the meadows and we both splattered all over the trail - 4 skis 4 poles 2 bodies... ...welcome back to CB.... why do I ski there????? Quote
skimom Posted December 19, 2004 Author Report Posted December 19, 2004 Yeah... so I have the sun-fri pass, which is supposed to include nights. Nights at CB start at 4 so, I figured despinte the fact that it is only an hour, I would head up from 4-5 today. Turns out someone decided my pass is no good for sat nights until they open up the mountain for nights till 11. So basically, I drove up to CB and got real mad, then came back home. Really sucks. Oh well, gonna be there all day tommorow, so hopefully that will make me feel better. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you haven't, you should bring this issue up on the CB messageboard. You have a legit. complaint if they list night skiing as starting from 4 PM. Great loophole! Quote
skidude Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 Haha mum, I saw 2 collisions on the SAME run on meadows. Not to mention all the other collisions I saw the rest of the day. Ehh rangers were picking up a lot of pieces all weekend long Quote
AtomicSkier Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 I was in the third chair, and didn't see anyone who looked like a PAskiandrider! If you were first, where was your logo??? Well, i just looked at our records, and lineskier's order has been approved, but we're waiting for our next batch of stickers to come in, which has been taking alot longer then expected. Skimom, i still haven't seen anyone w/ PASR gear besides greg and I Quote
skidude Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 Neither have I, cept for well Me. Maybe Missy had a sticker on, but ehh there not that noticeable. Anyway ehh sooner or later they will start poping up around, I think. Quote
Glenn Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 I have to order another set, with my googles down you can't seem them at all because I have them on the sides of my helmet. Oh, well. Went today, was decent but marjies was'nt open, the lift guys who stopped me yesterday said hi, and wanted to let me know as soon as night skiing opened for real (5-10) that my pass would be valid on the weekends. Quote

I remember everyone in front of me. We had a PAskiandride sticker on our Maxima. (R.I.P.) Quote

Bleh. Anyway, went up today. It was okay I guess... to bad there was only really 2 trails open. I didn't like Tut, because it was so flat and unexciting, and the park only had 1 hit in it. There's only so many times you can hit a single jump until you run out of tricks and things get boring. Hopefully they'll have some more crap open on Thursday when I get off from school. It was'nt as nice as mid season, but I didn't mind riding it all day. Sure beats sitting at home on the forums wishing the season would get here . Quote
skigurl Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 i've got one sticker on each Helmet, and i also have one on my civic Quote

Glenn Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 You should of told hime to F*ck off and get a real job. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Really don't care that the liftie stopped me. They were just doing their job. I'm mad ad the CB administration for being morons and telling the lifites to stop people like me. Honestly most of the operators are pretty cool, they are real nice if you talk to them, and a couple of the chicks are pretty hot. Although today they were telling us to put our bar down everytime we got on Quote
skigurl Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 ehh they actually put the bar down on me a couple times Quote
Ski Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 YARD SALE <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Man, I just can't imagine you in a yard sale... Quote

Sure beats sitting at home on the forums wishing the season would get here . <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That trail was pretty nice. If you take the turn nice and tight then it is sweet, and then depending how you hit those natural rollers, you can get either a few short jumps, or a nice long jump. Good stuff. Not to mention, then once you got on the bottom 1/2 of the mountain, you can 'gate train' Quote
skimom Posted December 19, 2004 Author Report Posted December 19, 2004 Man, I just can't imagine you in a yard sale... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My first yardsale. I was skiing along in perfect harmony with the universe, when suddenly a bomb exploded out of nowhere -> Next thing I knew... 4 skis, 4 poles, 2 bodies... After reassuring myself that I still had 28 teeth and all my extremities, my first thought was "this is life at Camelback...the highest packing density of nimrods in the world" Quote

skidude Posted December 20, 2004 Report Posted December 20, 2004 And people wonder why I ski faster than everyone else at CB...Its cause I DON'T want to end up like Skimom Ski faster, they can't catch ya, they can't hit ya... Hmm Ski fast, its safe Quote
Margaritaville Skier Posted December 20, 2004 Report Posted December 20, 2004 Yeah, I was someones slalom gate. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Been there, done that on more occasions than I care to remember, got the scars to prove it. But I do love it!!! Quote
