Dan-
lol, it was funny watching this appear on all the forums. I was waiting for it on this one. The almanac says the same thing every year.. Cold and snowy in the NE. Are they ever right? not really.

Johnny Law
NOAH doesn't think so Oct-Nov-December Temperature: Oct-Nov-December Precipitation: Nov-December-January Temperature: Nov-December-January Precipitation: December-January-February Temperature: December-January-February Precipitation: January-February-March Temperature: January-February-March Precipitation: February-March-April Temperature: February-March-April Precipitation: If these pan out, it's gonna rawk again in the PNW. sibhusky
Let's see, for me that means anything goes all winter in terms of temperature, but above normal precipitation in early winter. Since we get most of our snow here in December and January, it means we'll either open early or open late due to rain. I think that pretty much covers all possibilities...... Since we get most of our snow here in December and January, it means we'll either open early or open late due to rain. I think that pretty much covers all possibilities...... unless I'm missing something, the NOAH maps show average or above temps and average or below precip, so a warm dry winter (no snow). The almanac is a POS anyway, as is any long range forecast. Look at how "terrible" the last two hurrican seasons were predicted to be after global warming was blamed for the last bad one. How bad did they turn out to be?

Timeless
Maybe for YOU, but not for me. I'm about 2300 miles west of you. Ah yes, that small fact did escape me for a while. My prediction is that the snow conditions will be infinitely better where you are than here in PA.
sibhusky
Any couch/floor space? My husband would look at me cross-eyed if I invited some teenage boy to stay. Basement guest suite is still not finished.

sibhusky
What about if you invited a teenage boy to stay with Siblet? She's currently single, but past male guests have slept on the floor in the library on some foam blocks taken from window seats. Since this is right outside her door I think she'd complain about some strange dude underfoot if she came home that weekend. Now, MY longtime friends get house in Siblet's bunkbed, much to her chagrin.
