bigdaddyk Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 There's two Almanacs, the Farmer's Almanac and the Old Farmer's Almanac. The Farmer's Almanac has Oct 20-23 as being cold. This is what the Old Farmer's Almanac has for the end of October: "Oct. 15-19: Rain, then sunny, cold Oct. 20-23: Snow Oct. 24-27: Chilly; rain, then sunny Oct. 28-31: Cold; snow north, rain south " It might be interesting if this would happen. Dan- Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 I'd like to see that happen. I don't ever remember it snowing that early. Normally around Philly first snow is somewhere around thanksgiving. Quote

poop Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 Oct. 20-23: Snow If it snows on my birthday (the 20th) I'd problly shit my pants laughing. although it wont so my sweet pants will stay in pristine condition. almanacs...who actually uses one ever? Quote
snowboarddude Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 i hope we count as the north part.... Quote
rgrwilco Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 from the information im gathering from weather sites, looking at potential changes in jet stream and long term patterns- its safe to say that it will be cold most of the winter, with some warm days in the mix. it will snow sometimes, and rain other times. ski areas around here will open in december, close in march, and boulder will stay open into april. bear creek say things to allude to staying open later but wont. bigdaddyk Posted September 17, 2007 Author Report Posted September 17, 2007 almanacs...who actually uses one ever? I look at them. Suprisingly, they have predicted some of the major snowstorms that we've gotten. Although it was probable just luck. Quote
