Are there any stores in NEPA that stock racing boots besides Nestors?

Thx

Most don't stock race boots, and if they do (like nestors) its very few. You just missed Nestor's race night where they offered most race boots at 50% off, as well as most merchadise around 20% off. I bought my Lange WorldCups from them, though they had to order them.

What exactly are you looking for? How far are you willing to travel?

Key question there... how far do you want to travel. If you just want a stiff performance boot, most shops can order them. If you want a real race boot, they need to have a boot fitter on staff, and a good one at that. Race boots don't typically fit anyone well right off the bat and need allot of tweeks to work well. Otherwise you are wasting good $$$. I don't know of any great boot fitters in PA. There are allot of good ones, but anyone who stands out? Two of my racers head to VT for their work. There was a dude in Stratton who was the best in the East, but i think he moved to another mountain. Otherwise, i got good fittings for my boots at Pinnacle in Reading.

Does pinnacle really have that much race gear? last year I was down there and the staff that was there seemed to have very little knowledge when it came to racing products.

The best place to get race stock equipment is from Race Stock Sports in VT (www.racestocksports.com). You can place your order with them and they can send it to your house and get them custom fitted down here somewhere. PJ, the owner, used to be a boot tech on the world cup, so he knows what the hell he's talking about. The prices are usally are usally very reasonable.

They offer the same USSA/whatever discount prices as anyone else. And what's the point of ordering from them if you're not even getting fitted there. The whole point of RSS is their amazing boot fitting and custom work. It's pointless to just order from them, unless you're going up there to get fitted.
