k2rider and I plan on heading up tomorrow after school. Anyone else going?

Anyone go tonight, how was it looking?

Has the BB area gotten a lot of rain?

Will they even be open?

I hope with a low of 33 tonight for lake harmony that big boulder will be able to blow, i figure its a couple degrees cooler on mountain.

I was there Tuesday. They still have really good coverage. It was starting to harden up and get a little icy as the night went on, so the snow should stay around for a while. I think the rain actually compacted the snow, which would make it harder to melt. I have a feeling that this weekend will be a lot more crowded than last weekend, since the word has been out for a week.

I'm hoping they blast snow on the Big Boulder Park run..that's my favorite trail there and where I did most of my laps on my opening day visit last year.

Mittl Weg is the best for free skiing. It has the most consistant pitch. It is the trail on skier's left of BB park.

Went last night..couldn't tell where the snow ended and the fog began.

Kudos to JFBB, I don't ever rememebr a Pocono area being open THIS early. For the couple of days I have skied at these resorts over the past two seasons, this new ownership is good.

I wonder if they will survive the rain - any word?

Hmmm no clue, but the rain is supposed to change to snow sometime today. Hopefully all isnt lost yet, and they will be able to blow again soon since the weather is going to be in their favor in the next 10-15 days.

very true. I just remeber a guy with a blue jacket on, flying down the trail carving. I'm assuming that was you.

Not sure about "flying", but I was just laying railroad tracks.
