Gurp Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 ive taken that trail countless times. Its a sidetrail and the old 1/2 pipe, thats it. Quote
messr2006 Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 Kool I hope the trail is open soon Quote
Gurp Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 itll prob be awhile before its open because i dont beleive they blow snow on that, i think its normal fallen snow Quote
soldier32 Posted December 22, 2004 Author Report Posted December 22, 2004 no theyre blowing on it too, theyre just gonna leave it ungroomed Quote
insomniac Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 Then its gonna be slow as hell. Blown ungroomed snow SUCKS. Quote
insomniac Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 And yeah, I took that trail all the time last year. Its nothing special. They make it sound alot better than it is. It sucks cause its right under the lift. Quote
Justin Posted December 23, 2004 Report Posted December 23, 2004 wait wait....they are taking that trail and now advertising it, but they are not grooming or clearing the area......tree runs in pa are always between runs, so i see no point. basically they are blowing into the trees. Quote
insomniac Posted December 23, 2004 Report Posted December 23, 2004 I dont think they're blowing on it. Snow usually drifts there from when they blow on bb trail. and also, the trees arent that big. Like christmas trees. Quote
soldier32 Posted December 23, 2004 Author Report Posted December 23, 2004 well they cut down some of the trees that were in there, and they probably got rid of those big rocks too. we'll have to see how it is when it opens Quote
romemadman Posted December 23, 2004 Report Posted December 23, 2004 is it the one on the map labled half pipe next to bb trail or is it in the woods somewhere near bb freestyle terrain park Quote
soldier32 Posted December 23, 2004 Author Report Posted December 23, 2004 yea its that but they extended it and it comes from like the top of draufanger and connects to the old pipe Quote
insomniac Posted December 23, 2004 Report Posted December 23, 2004 You dont know that for a FACT. You only listened to mark. And he's always wrong. ALWAYS. And Why would they get rid of the rocks? That was the cliff! Quote
Gurp Posted December 23, 2004 Report Posted December 23, 2004 hes not wrong, Its on the trail map by the lodge. Quote
insomniac Posted December 23, 2004 Report Posted December 23, 2004 But what im saying is I doubt they extended shit. Cause last year, remember we could ski right onto draufanger from that little rock jump there? I doubt they did crap to it besides give it a name. Quote
bigdaddyk Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 I was at BB Friday 18th and Sunday 20th and Snow drift was closed. The only thing I could think of was because of ice on the top half, other than that, it looked ok. It's listed as a diamond, so a little ice shouldn't be a reason to close it Quote
insomniac Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 Seriously, It's worthless. Don't waste your time. It was cool before they changed it all up and made it a trail. Now its flat as hell, and guess what? WORTHLESS Quote
bigdaddyk Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 I've been on it before and know its not the most exciting trail, but it's still another trail to have. I also was looking at the area under the merry widow lifts and thought that would be a decent run...its nice and narrow in areas. Is this do-able when there is a lot of natural snow? Quote
soldier32 Posted February 22, 2005 Author Report Posted February 22, 2005 yea, insomniac, gurp and i have done it a couple of times when there was snow Quote
soldier32 Posted February 22, 2005 Author Report Posted February 22, 2005 o yea over by bunny's elbow you can take the power lines if theres a lot of natural snow too, but you need a lot of snow for that, its really rocky Quote
