bbg Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 Has anyone heard yet when they plan to start making snow at JF, and when they will open? Quote
bigdaddyk Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 Has anyone heard yet when they plan to start making snow at JF, and when they will open? I was told when they get a sustained cold snap, since there is more to cover. Quote

bigdaddyk Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 (edited) where were you today bigdaddyk? I figured that I would wait until the bulk of the snow hit and the bulk of the people left. I was beat, so I slept in, skipped going to the Eagles game and watched it on TV, then went skiing from 6 to 6:45. It wasn't crowded at that time and the snow was pretty good, although slow. bigdaddyk Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 (edited) 45 minutes, are you kidding? Nope. I got bored, plus the snow was slow and I got tired of having to constatnly skate uphill to the lift . The skier's right side edge was pretty nice, though. Edited November 19, 2007 by bigdaddyk Quote
fluffy Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 Has anyone heard yet when they plan to start making snow at JF, and when they will open? Snow = Nov. 26th. Open = beginning of December...depends on the weather and the amount of snow that can be made. Quote
bigdaddyk Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 Snow = Nov. 26th. Open = beginning of December...depends on the weather and the amount of snow that can be made. I wonder why they don't try to at least get one trail open, earlier. Quote

bigdaddyk Posted November 20, 2007 Report Posted November 20, 2007 what do you mean you skipped going to the eagles game? you had tickets and didnt go? Yes, because I didn't want to sit in a cold ass rain, especially the way they have been playing. I was also exhausted, so the sleep was welcomed. Quote
sstylles Posted November 23, 2007 Report Posted November 23, 2007 Frost is supposed to start making snow next Sunday, the 2nd.. it's supposed to be cold enough so keep your fingers crossed! Quote
bigdaddyk Posted November 23, 2007 Report Posted November 23, 2007 BB is still blowing, I wonder why they haven't started at JF Quote
method9455 Posted November 23, 2007 Report Posted November 23, 2007 Well if they open up more trails at BB they need less lodging staff, ticket sales etc. You need a few per lift but if you open up a whole extra lodge that is how many more people? Plus utility bills. By mid week you will have 3-4 more trails at Boulder open anyway. The trail that is boulder park and merry widow are pretty fun to just ride on before they put features and it will be a while before they have enough snow to put up stuff there. Quote
