snorovr Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 Nice. Just got a free pass at the NAC Warren Miller showing last night. Maybe I'll check it out in the early season if I have a day off. Quote
Old Geezer Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 They should also be getting 4 or more inches of the real stuff with this Alberta Clipper system. In Clarks Summit right after dusk today there was 3" on the ground. Quote

kate Posted November 24, 2007 Report Posted November 24, 2007 yeah, it looks good too. I had to go up this morning and there were some pretty big mounds everywhere. The forecast looks relatively good too. Quote
RidgeRacer Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 Any word on when Elk will be opening? Quote
jeff Posted November 25, 2007 Author Report Posted November 25, 2007 according to their website, early to mid december. but i know they usually try for the 8th of december. With the forecast for this week, they should be able to make snow almost every night, and maybe open by this weekend? hopefully? Quote
elkskibum Posted December 1, 2007 Report Posted December 1, 2007 I was up there this morning (friday) and took a few pics... I was actually impressed with the size of the piles they had on east/west/susquehanna and i assume on tioga. They didnt really lose that much snow from all the rain, and should be good for around in clock snowmaking for the next few days, and will hopefully be opening next friday or saturday. Quote
trackbiker Posted December 1, 2007 Report Posted December 1, 2007 Thanks for the pics! Elk always gets their lighted trails open first. Hopefully, the weather event this weekend will be all snow for Elk and give them a jump start on the season. Quote
